Legal advice

In 2014 the AFAGA Legal Advice Department was launched, a service that was created with the main purpose of providing support in relevant legal aspects to relatives of people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, as well as to the patient themselves.

AFAGA is aware that the legal aspects related to Alzheimer’s and other dementias sometimes become a source of concern for families. Therefore, there are numerous legal and administrative procedures that families have to deal with, among which the following stand out: the request for a declaration of incapacity; the request for preventive protection measures; the request for guardianship or other forms of protection; advice on questions of a patrimonial nature such as inheritance and succession, among others.

With the launch of this service, the aim is to provide specialised advice to families on the above-mentioned procedures, as well as on any other legal issue related to the disease.

This service will be available to members by appointment, which can be arranged through the association’s usual contact channels:

  • Phone: +34 986 22 97 97. Extensi贸n: 5
  • E-mail:
