PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (GDPR), and with Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and the Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), you are hereby informed that the personal data provided to AFAGA (Association of Relatives of People with Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias of Galicia) will be processed by the association as data controller, with Tax ID (CIF) G36776920 and registered office at Avenida Martínez Garrido, No. 21, Bajo Interior, Postcode 36205, Vigo, Spain.

Purpose of processing

The personal data provided will be processed for the purpose of managing the relationship with users, family members, members, volunteers and collaborators of the association, as well as providing care services, assistance, training, therapeutic activities, support programmes, administrative management, communication of activities and compliance with applicable legal obligations.

Legal basis

The legal basis for processing personal data is the data subject’s consent, the performance of the membership or service relationship, and compliance with the legal obligations applicable to the association.

Data retention

Personal data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which they were collected and, thereafter, for the periods required by applicable law.

Recipients

Personal data will not be disclosed to third parties except where required by law or where necessary for the proper provision of authorised or contracted services, including communications with public authorities, competent administrations, collaborating entities or service providers, while ensuring the security and confidentiality measures required under applicable legislation.

Your rights

Data subjects may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as withdraw their consent at any time, by sending a written request to AFAGA at d.juridico@afaga.com, specifying the right they wish to exercise and enclosing a copy of their national identity document or equivalent identification document. Where the request is made through a legal or authorised representative, proof of representation and the representative’s identification document must also be provided.

If you consider that the processing of your personal data does not comply with the applicable regulations, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

AFAGA undertakes to process personal data confidentially and to implement the technical and organisational measures necessary to ensure their security and prevent unauthorised alteration, loss, processing or access.
