Project Celia / 'N-compañía'
The project carried out between the University of Vigo and AFAGA, with funding from Obra Social “La Caixa”, opened up a new spectrum of therapeutic intervention in the home, consisting of the development of a voice assistant with a customisable interface that interacts with the beneficiary through activities that promote cognitive abilities.
In 2022, a total of 30 people were able to make use of the application called “Celia”, installed on a tablet that was given to each of them.
AFAGA, through its Home Care Service, coordinated the project, which ended in September 2022, involving itself in the direct therapeutic care of these people.
The Information Technology Group of the School of Telecommunications of the University of Vigo developed and adapted the therapeutic stimulation software to the particular conditions of each user, so there was constant communication between the entities in order to offer a satisfactory experience.
