Volunteer programme
At AFAGA we believe in the power of solidarity and the commitment of people to make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. And today we would like to invite you to join our team as a volunteer.
We know that each person has unique talents, skills and valuable time to offer, and we would love to have you as part of our volunteer network. Volunteering is an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of people affected by Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative dementias, as well as in the lives of their families.
What does volunteering in AFAGA do?
- Provide company and emotional support.
- Offer general information about the Association.
- Accompaniment for walks.
- Chatting with users and/or relatives.
- Accompanying the patient to provide respite for the caregiver.
- Group activities within the Association
- Accompaniment on excursions and outings.
- Collaborate in the different programmes organised by the association.
- Participate in programmed activities to raise funds for the Association.
- Participate in the festivals organised by the Association.
- Participate in intergenerational meetings (relatives, patients and volunteers).
Being a volunteer not only gives you the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others, but also allows you to grow as a person. You will be able to acquire new skills, broaden your knowledge about Alzheimer’s disease and neurodegenerative dementias, and build meaningful relationships with other people committed to our cause.
In addition, volunteering at AFAGA offers you a supportive environment and teamwork. You will have the support of our team of professionals and other experienced volunteers, who will offer guidance and training to make you feel comfortable and prepared for your work.
We know that time is a valuable resource, and any amount of time you can dedicate as a volunteer will be of great help. Whether you can commit regularly or are available to participate in one-off events or activities, your contribution will be valued and meaningful.
Please contact us for more information about volunteering. We are excited to welcome committed and caring people like you.
